Efficient Solar Energy
More solar energy hits the earth in one hour than all humanity can consume in a year.
As solar power moves into the forefront of the energy industry the number of competent and eager solar system integrators are growing daily. This modern and renewable energy takes advantage of the greatest power source we have available to us: the sun. We work hard to remain at the top of this industry for the Richmond, and the entire Central Virginia area by continuing to research newer and more efficient methods of turning the suns energy into power for your home or business. With consistent customer satisfaction we have grown almost exclusively through customer referrals!
Green Air, Inc. is committed to bringing solar power to more homes and contributing to a clean, safe, and sustainable energy source for the planet. Our professional installers work closely with you, the homeowner in order to achieve total customer satisfaction. This is our community and we are deeply invested in the success and growth of this area. We hope to help you through one of the most important choices you can make for your home, investing in renewable solar energy. The logistics of choosing solar power can be technical and overwhelming. We hope to walk you through the pros and cons and make your move to solar as effortless as possible.
By investing in solar energy for your home or business, you secure energy independence! The sunlight hitting your roof can provide enough energy for your hot water needs year-round. Utility company are always increasing their rates, but by committing to solar power you will put an end to that and lock in your energy cost. According to the National Appraisal Institute you will increase your home's value by $20 for every $1 reduction in annual utility bills without your property taxes increasing at all! Solar systems typically pay for themselves in energy savings after 5-9 years.
Solar energy is a contribution to the solution - free, clean, renewable energy. On October 3, 2008 the President signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 into law. The bill extends the 30% ITC for residential solar property for eight years through December 31, 2016. It also removes the cap on qualified solar electric property expenditures (currently $2,000), effective for property placed in service after December 31, 2008. The bill allows individual taxpayers to use the credit to offset AMT liability, and to carry unused credits forward to the next succeeding taxable year. Most of the energy produced in this country is created in coal power plants. Switching to renewable energy reduces the consumption and emission of pollutants. A small 2.5kW system would reduce the CO2 emissions in an amount close to what a car driving 7,800 miles produces.
How does it work? Photovoltaic cells convert sunlight directly into electricity and are made of semiconductors such as crystalline silicon or various thin-film materials. Photovoltaics can provide tiny amounts of power for watches, large amounts for the electric grid, and everything in between. Concentrating solar power technologies use reflective materials to concentrate the sun's heat energy, which ultimately drives a generator to produce electricity. These technologies include dish/engine systems, parabolic troughs, and central power towers. Low-temperature solar collectors also absorb the sun's heat energy, but the heat is used directly for hot water or space heating for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
While reducing the energy cost in your home and stimulating the economy you will be effectively reducing greenhouse gasses!
